Please consider a tax-deductible donation to our school’s non-profit organization, Friends of Coeur D’Alene. Our school relies on your generosity to pay vital staff such as teaching assistants and instructional aids - resources essential to supporting a quality learning environment - in addition to funding enrichment programs including visual arts, music, tech, PE and gardening.
These programs are NOT FUNDED by LAUSD and cannot continue without your support!

Q: Don’t my taxes cover public education?
A: Yes, but only at state-mandated levels, which means high student-to-teacher ratios and a lack of enrichment programs for a well-rounded education. Your donation bridges this gap.
Q: How are the funds used?
A: These funds are used for learning beyond the basic curriculum. The funds are used for music, PE, gardening, tech, art, library staff and for teacher and instructional aides.
Q: Are these programs really necessary?
A: We strongly believe they are! These funds pay for the additional staff who help support a good learning environment and funds programs that enrich your student’s learning experience and foster intellectual, creative, social, emotional and personal growth.
Q: Who decides how the money gets spent?
A: We all do! The Booster Club is our school's parent organization and all parents and caregivers of students at CDA are members of this club. Booster Club parent meetings are monthly and all participation is encouraged. Please consider joining a committee or participating in Booster meetings to offer your guidance on how the funds are used.
Q: OK, I’m in! How much should I donate?
A: We encourage everyone to participate – at any amount. The recommended amount is $1500 per child to fund Enrichment Programs, Teachers Aides, and expenses. Please give what you can based on your personal circumstances.
Q: How do I donate?
A: You can set up payments as monthly donations or pay as one-lump sum HERE. You can also pay through Zelle at [email protected]. You can also deliver a check to the CDA office made out to Friends of Coeur D’ Alene Elementary please include “Education Enrichment Fund” in the memo and your child’s name. All donations are 100% tax deductible.
